Maharashtra government nods to the establishment of India’s first Universal AI University in Karjat
The higher and technical education department of the Maharashtra Government has recently approved the establishment of India’s first Universal AI university in Karjat, Mumbai. The university will offer various undergraduate and postgraduate programs on Artificial Intelligence. The university is India’s first university to offer degrees and specialised courses in the field of AI. They will predominantly offer a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary curriculum with subjects from five disciplines, which is for the first time ever in India by any university. According to the reports , the university aims to provide innovative courses in a wide range of contemporary fields like Liberal Arts and Humanities, Law, Global Affairs and Diplomacy, Environment and Sustainability and Sport Sciences.
